My trip to Boston featured a walk around the Harvard University campus and past iconic Fenway Park, home of The Red Sox. I walked a bit of The Freedom Trail and also spent about an hour on a beautiful day sitting on a wall overlooking the harbor and viewing planes descending into Logan Airport. The Freedom Trail is a unique collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond.
I had a chance to talk with a few locals but in general I think I am beginning to feel a bit of exhaustion enveloping me. I have been on the road for about seven weeks.
Unrelated to Boston, one of my interviewees from Nova Scotia whose story is posted, has finally convinced me to fly back in mid-July to participate in a golf tournament at the course he owns. It will be a reunion event of several classmates from my high school days. It should be an exciting time and, who knows, I may get a few more stories. Unfortunately, it cuts into my stay in The City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia.
